In the years 1897 - 1898, the building of the museum was built according to the design of Josef Schulz in the style of French Neo-Renaissance. The Museum of Applied Arts opened on November 15, 2017 after a three-year reconstruction, which brought a three-fold enlargement of the exhibition space - a total of 2,750 m2 of space for exhibitions, presentations and various events.
