Panský dům Chotěboř

Nezávazně poptat

A popular place for celebrations and cultural events in Chotěbor.

The manor house is the oldest still operating restaurant in Chotěboř, the business has been the center of social events in the town since ancient times. It is not known exactly when it was founded (approx. 800 years old), but in 1424 the warlord Jan Žižka stopped here for beer and food.

In 1912, the well-known writer Jaroslav Hašek lived here and wrote short stories (The Fate of the Good Soldier Švejk). The historic vaults create an unmistakable atmosphere, which is also why the Manor House is frequently visited by important personalities. The completely renovated establishment is characterized by traditional home-made Czech cuisine with elements of modern gastronomy, which is enhanced by perfectly treated and properly tapped Pilsner Urquell or Kozel 11 tank beer.
